World Rubber Exporters Want To Raise Rubber Prices
Recently, a Ministerial Conference on measures to adjust the price of rubber exports was held in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Representatives of Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, India, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Singapore and Papua, New Guinea and other rubber exporting countries attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the representatives of Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand agreed that the price of natural rubber in the international market is about $1000 per ton, less than 1600 dollars per ton.
Thailand, the world's largest exporter of natural rubber, has urged other rubber exporters to raise their prices by about 20% to keep prices equal to the price of mixed rubber.
