The Azo Exceeding Standard Of Export Knitted Garments Should Not Be Ignored.

After the formal inspection of the garments, the Yiwu inspection and Quarantine Bureau conducted targeted sampling tests according to the different requirements of the exporting countries and regions. The projects mainly included azo, formaldehyde and flame retardancy. The sampling results showed that the quality of the products in Yiwu area was better, but 11 batches of the 635 Azobenzene samples failed.
The main reasons for the failure of azo detection of export knitted products are: export

Clothing enterprises fail to make strict selection and management of suppliers, often because of the tight delivery time, rush to choose suppliers to order production, and can not strictly control the quality of raw materials; because of fierce competition, low order price and wage increase, the profit margins of enterprises are reduced, and some factories purchase cheap raw materials for profit, resulting in unqualified situations. Export knitted apparel enterprises only attach importance to clothing appearance factors such as specifications, do not attach importance to physical and chemical properties of products, and lack of related concepts, resulting in unqualified situations.
After exposure to human skin, azo exceeding standard products can cause a variety of malignant diseases, absorption and carcinogenesis.
EU stipulates that azo dyes with concentrations of more than 30ppm of banned aromatic amines can not be used for direct contact with skin textiles.
In view of the above situation, the inspection and quarantine department recommends: export knitting.

The supplier should be strictly screened, establish a sound supplier selection, management and assessment system, strengthen product quality control from the source; export knitted garment enterprises should improve the legal concept and quality awareness, avoid small and big losses; export knitted garment enterprises should strengthen the understanding of the developed countries such as Europe and the United States, and increase the inspection of raw materials according to the requirements of export countries, so as to avoid the appearance of unqualified export products.
