Dress in Yuan Dynasty

Since the Yuan Dynasty was ruled by Mongol people, the dress system of Yuan Dynasty was similar to that of Liao and Jin Dynasties.

The Mongol used to make a little bit of hair on their forehead, like a peach, and the others were plaited into two plaits, then wrapped around two big rings behind their ears, with a hat on their heads.

The clothes of the Yuan Dynasty were mainly "quality grandchildren". They were shorter robes. They were tight and narrow. They had many plaids on the waist. This kind of clothes were easy to dismount.

The aristocratic women of China's Yuan Dynasty often wore a hat with a tall, long and strange looking appearance. This hat was called the "crown".

The robes they wore were large and long, and it was very inconvenient to walk. They often used two maidservants to help them to pull their robes at the back. Ordinary civilian women mostly wore black robes.

The aristocrat and the aunt's crown are two or three feet tall.

The clothing of the Yuan Dynasty was dominated by gowns.

Men's public uniform is mostly from Han custom, "making Luo, big sleeves, plate collar, right side".

Its rank is expressed in the color and pattern of garments.

The crown of a uniform is made of lacquer gauze and its feet are spread.
