Daniel Gulati

It was FashionStake's co founder and CEO, who graduated from Harvard Business School in 2011. He did not hesitate to describe it as a "wonderful experience".

However, he did not hesitate to add that business schools are not suitable for everyone, and that it is not easy to get a degree, especially when they are intersecting with the entrepreneurial path.

Gulati, an Australian, has long been involved in business and fashion fields. He successfully founded a family with University of Wales when he was an undergraduate in South University of Wales.

Then he went to Harvard to study for MBA degree to enrich his knowledge and expand his interpersonal relationship network.

His biggest achievement was to know Vivian Weng in Harvard retail and luxury club shortly after he enrolled.

Weng and Gu La Di also have passion and interest in fashion industry.

She once had some famous brand's cooperation experience, and some design rookie - later these new talent designers became her marketing channel.

After becoming acquainted with Weng, Gulati has more confidence in his network.

Soon after they met in September 2009, they worked together to conceive of FashionStake. The goal was to bring together the works of American and overseas rookie designers and put them on a platform to create a one-stop shopping experience of "a little brand hidden in a boudoir".

In the next two semesters, she and FashionStake, the president of the University, continue to start their business in school.

Collect the opinions of students and professors through Harvard Business Plan Competition.

The network is playing a role again.

Their business plan got into the semi-finals, which attracted media attention, so that more designers noticed this service, and eventually got the investment of Battery Venture and Alexis Maybank.

At this time, they should not only carry out their business according to the business plan, achieve the satisfaction of investors, but also cope with heavy academic pressure.

"I'm really busy!" Gulati said.

"We have classes on Monday and Tuesday, and then we go to New York from Boston on Wednesday to Friday, because our office is there.

It's really hard to make both ends meet. "

However, he and Weng did not pay in vain.

In September 2010, FashionStake was officially launched.

New York Fashion Week

Debut, launched 60 works from 4 designers.

Now, the website has gathered more than 2000 works from 250 designers, with more than 40 thousand registered users and even customers from Turkey and Singapore.

For Gulati, business school was not only a catalyst but also brought more difficulties at the beginning of his business, but eventually his learning career brought him more or more.
