Liu Chengping said: "the state raises cotton prices, the ordinary people get no benefit, and the textile enterprises are not good at all. They both complain hard, and the profits are made by the intermediate processing enterprises."

As a textile business owner, Liu Chengping said: "if we really want to protect the income of cotton farmers, we should subsidize cotton farmers directly, just like wheat subsidies. Otherwise, cotton prices will be adjusted through price leverage to intervene in the market. The real benefit will not be cotton farmers, but also the textile industry will suffer losses."
