In recent days, Jingdong mall has invested in Yonghui supermarket, WAL-MART holding 1, Ali and Suning, and the integration of online and offline e-commerce has aroused concern.

Shen Danyang pointed out that this integration is conducive to giving full play to the respective advantages of online and offline, achieving better service, lower cost, higher efficiency and better meeting the needs of consumers.

In fact, this integration stems from the development of "Internet +".

The development of "Internet +" has brought enormous pressure on survival to traditional retail industry, and even many traditional retail businesses have closed down.

Data show that in the first half of this year, a total of 121 major retail enterprises (including department stores and supermarkets) closed in China.

However, the development of the Internet retail market is quite different.

Data show that the first half of this year, the national online retail sales of 16459 billion yuan, an increase of 39.1% over the same period last year.

Among them, online retail sales of physical commodities increased by 13759 billion yuan, an increase of 38.6%; and online retail sales of non physical goods amounted to 2700 billion yuan, an increase of 41.9%.

In online retail sales of physical commodities, food and clothing products increased by 45.9%, 30.1% and 41.8% respectively.

With the continuous development of the Internet, more and more people choose to shop online.

"Shopping online is convenient and inexpensive. If I can solve it online, I will choose to finish it online."

Li Ji, who worked in a public institution, told reporters.

Similarly, most people around the press are more inclined to buy online.

Products such as daily necessities, snacks, accessories, books and so on are almost bought online.

It is estimated that the size of Internet retailing is expected to exceed 4 trillion yuan in 2015.

It can be seen that the pformation of traditional retail industry is a pressing matter of the moment.

However, in Shen Danyang's view, in the era of "Internet +" opportunities, the development of China's retail industry still has great prospects, not the other way around.

He said that in recent years, under the influence of the Internet, retail enterprises have been actively taking action, innovating and exploring bravely. Many business models and successful examples have emerged in this respect, which is worth summarizing and promoting.

As a matter of fact, traditional retailers are also aware of their lack of development and accelerate the process of Internet integration, and actively integrate with Internet retailers.

Some analysts pointed out that cooperation between Ali and Suning, Jingdong and Yonghui will integrate resources on line and online, which will become an important development trend of the retail industry.

Shen Danyang said that on the one hand, the sustainable development of commercial enterprises should actively apply new technologies and explore mode innovation; on the other hand, we should deepen our internal efforts, return to the essence of business and put the core competitiveness in the continuous improvement of commodity quality and service level.

At the same time, he also pointed out that the Ministry of Commerce will continue to support the integration of online and offline businesses and promote the innovative development of Commerce and circulation.
