Recently, BYD released a posters of Zhang Quanxin's models. In the poster, BYD Han, which is about to go public at the end of this month, throws out the concept of 5G and claims to be the world's first HUAWEI 5G technology mass production vehicle. Many media reports said BYD Han will be the first mass produced 5G car.

5G automobile has become one of the most futuristic terms in the automotive industry, and many car companies have laid out. In fact, BYD Han is not the only one to play the 5G banner. Previously, GAC's new energy Aion V, Beiqi new energy ARCFOX alpha -T, SAIC Roewe MARVEL R and other models have indicated that they have equipped with 5G technology. The pre warming articles of these cars also used more or less similar propaganda such as "the first mass production 5G car" with the attributive. Besides, the new car enterprise Chinese express also claimed that its high HiPhi 1 would become the world's first 5G smart car.

Who is the real world's first mass production of 5G cars? In twenty-first Century, the economic report reporters found that the concept of 5G could be regarded as a selling point because they all carried certain 5G technologies or functions, such as 5G vehicle module, 5G intelligent cockpit and so on. However, many industry insiders told our reporter that the current 5G vehicle is still in the initial stage of development, and in terms of functional applications, it is still in shallow areas such as vehicle and aircraft.

BYD did not reveal the specific technology of HUAWEI 5G technology in the poster. In June 8th, BYD told reporters on twenty-first Century economic report that BYD Han will carry the HUAWEI Barone 50005G module, bringing 10 times the high-speed network of 4G.

At the Shanghai motor show in 2019, HUAWEI has released the world's first 5G module MH5000, which supports vehicle road collaboration C-V2X technology. The module is based on the Barone 5000 chip. It has the characteristics of high integration, high performance and low power consumption. The price advantage is relatively obvious, and it is also in the lead in commercial speed.

HUAWEI generally does not directly sell vehicle communication chips directly, but supplies them in the form of communication modules (modules are the smallest system of chips). However, some car companies did not purchase in module form, but only used HUAWEI chips, such as GAC new energy.

GAC's new energy Aion V is said to be the world's first Barone 5000 chip vehicle, known as the world's first mass production of 5G cars. The concept of "5G intelligent health cockpit" was also launched on its official website, which is expected to be launched in mid June.

According to the introduction, Aion V integrates the latest generation of Barone 50005G chip of HUAWEI, and carries out the "5G+V2X intelligent communication system" developed independently by GAC new energy, which can achieve high speed, low delay and wide connection of organic unity.

However, the ARCFOX -T and the MARVEL R of SAIC Roewe's new high-end energy vehicles are being crowned with the name of 5G, because they carry HUAWEI's 5G T-Box (Telematics BOX).

T-Box, together with the host computer, mobile phone APP and backstage, constitutes the four part of the vehicle networking system. The vehicle T-BOX is used as a wireless gateway to provide remote communication interface for the vehicle, which is mainly used for communication with the backstage system or mobile phone APP, so as to realize the vehicle information display and control of mobile APP.

Statistics show that ARCFOX released the world's first commercial 5G technology IMC (Intelligent Module Criterion, intelligent module standard rack) in 2019. The architecture takes the world's leading 5G technology application as the core, and combines with HUAWEI, Magna, Daimler, BOSCH and other partners to build together, with 42 core modules and 127 functional modules.

The above models are scheduled to be launched in the second half of 2020.
